1. Our Privacy Commitment
At 123tag.in (referred to as "123tag", "we", "us", or "our"), privacy is not an afterthought; it is our core feature. We build emergency QR identity tags designed to protect lives while maintaining strict control over personal data. We operate under a data-minimization framework, meaning we only request and display information that you explicitly choose to share.
2. What Information We Store
When you create a 123tag digital profile, we collect and store:
- Account Credentials: Secure authentication tokens linked to your verified email address.
- Profile Fields: Information you choose to configure, such as full name, blood type, emergency contact numbers, medical allergies, conditions, and custom recovery messages.
- Audit Logs: To verify integrity, we log security events (like password edits, mode toggles, or code binding changes) along with timestamp and IP address metadata.
3. Public Disclosure and Scanning Protocols
By utilizing a physical 123tag, you acknowledge that scanning the printed QR code with a smartphone camera will route the finder to a public-facing URL (e.g. `https://123tag.in/v/[code]`).
You maintain 100% control over this disclosure:
- Every detail (such as allergies, medications, or addresses) has an individual visibility toggle in your dashboard. If toggled off, it is completely hidden from scans.
- You can remotely toggle your tag to "Inactive Mode" or "Lost Mode" instantly, altering the displayed profile details or blocking access entirely.
4. Search Engine Crawling Exclusions
To protect your identity from internet scraping, our public discovery profiles (`/v/[code]`) are configured with strict `noindex, nofollow` meta tags. We instruct search engines (such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo) not to index or cache your profile pages. Your 123tag profile can be accessed by scanning the physical tag, but it cannot be found by typing your name into search engines.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal health data or contact information to marketing firms or third-party advertisers. We only disclose information when:
- Explicitly requested by you (e.g., displaying contact numbers to finders so they can return your lost item).
- Legally required by emergency response protocols or regulatory authorities in compliance with Indian medical-safety laws.
